Two redesigns

Two recent website redesigns: kottke.org and somerandomdude.com. I love it how Kottke now displays a heading with every entry. Thanks to the strong visual structuring function of the headings, he no longer needs horizontal lines to separate different entries. Both designs use simple monochromatic forms instead of detailed graphics. I like this reduction quite a bit – content itself is complicated enough.
