De Bono’s thinking hats

Each of Edward de Bono’s six coloured thinking hats stands for a different strategy of thinking: facts, emotions, negatives, positives, alternatives, process control. By switching hats and thereby roles, a problem can be examined from multiple sides without reverting to habitual thinking approaches.
